Eurasian Eagle Owl - "Tara"

Tara came to us 4 years ago from the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, where she was captive born. She is the largest species of owl in the world with a wing span of almost 6 feet. She is native to Northern Africa and Southern Europe and some Middle Eastern Countries. We acquired Tara to show what Owls from other countries in the world look like compared to ours here in the United States. She is a cousin of the Great Horned Owl. She is our best "Hooter," and you can get her to hoot almost at will.
